well thats all my gear i actualy wear at 75 PLD on both my /war and /nin subs. Both in DD and tanking.
War Sub Tanking:
Well, i see 2 realy week spots in my setup for /war tanking.
1) I realy dont have any elemental resist gear
2) And while Crimson Cuisses are great for HP, i dont have anything other than AF legs to fill that slot when i dont need the +10 HP the Crimson provides over the AF. The AF does add 2 more Emnity over the Crimson Cuisses though.
:/ looks like i will be back to wearing my AF legs when straight tanking on /war... I was hoping to get away from most my AF by now, but looks like i need ro research other options.
But at least my gear for /war tanking is pretty nice. Not spectacular but somewhat versatile.
Nin Sub Tanking:
One thing is abundantly clear... I have no Haste gear. None, Zero, Ziltch. I think i am going to make Haste gear a priority now. Ill have to save for some Dusk Gloves and get more into Limbus for Homam Cosciales. Its going to be rough but some HP and a total of 6% haste should be worth it. The hands and legs are my weak spot in my /nin tanking scheme anyway.
I feal most limited with my gear choices for /nin. Granted this sub is relatively new to me, but its got its merits, and some Haste gear should go a long way for me.
Nin Sub DD:
Currently i have an Accuracy/Attack build. But i dont have enough Accuracy to aviod eating Suishi for the majority of the time. I have tested out Meat. And I love the numbers that meat puts up, but even though i dont parse my results i can see a sudden drop in my Accuracy versus Beastmen. So I want to try and Switch to an Accuracy/Haste Build.
So, i intend on swapping out my +STR rings for Accuracy Rings. Most likely will go for Dual Snipers over Woodsman's. The -defence on the Snipers seem more palletable to me when compared to the -evasion on the Woodsmans, because i will be employing shadows.
I will also try to trade in the Coral Earring for an Assault Earring. It has about the same effect but adds some Accuracy. With these additions, i will have about +50 Accuracy (well just under), in Equipment. I hope that will be enough to switch over to meat lol.
I need haste gear for my /nin tanking settup. I figure the very same gear I intend to pick up for my /nin tanking setup will be just as usefull in my /nin DD setup as well.
New Priorities:
- Dusk Gloves
- Homam Cosciales
- Snipers Ring
- Snipers Ring
- Assault Earring
What do you guys think?
On a side note, people are starting to get upset about me putting in applications for people at BBQ. Mainly because im a relatively new member and due to my CoP static i was unable to make it to many events... and my attendacne has been crap because of it.
I alsways thought that it couldnt hurt to put the application in. Hell, they could always denie the application. But, I can see where they are coming from, they want BBQ to be exclusive. So, I wont be putting any more applications in for a while. Sorry guys, i tried to help you out.
Its a shame too, so many good players were in FuriousX. But they are right, the more people we have adds more points into the system, which drops wont take out. hehe, that was another point they made.
:/ sorry

Get a Light Staff you gimpy gimp! :D
Give me back my Pluto's Staff, you gimpy gimp! :D
Tuufless! ahahaha, im happy you still read my blog XD
Adaman legs are quite good, +enmity, decent def, and some vit, probably better than anything you are currently using for straight tanking and really one of the only pieces much worth it (that and maaaaybe body). Hospitalers earring is another thing to look into even as a macro swap for heals. For a back piece if you ever want to seriously tank a wyrm I would suggest getting a resentment cape for the magic dmg- and once again, more +enmity.
As for haste, turban is free with enough xp and a fairly significant amount of haste with mp/hp just no def.
Elemental resist gear is nice, but not all that important on pld as it is on nin. As it is now some of our nins don't use resists, and plds can still build hate while flying and getting beat with cures. That being said, a lot of the good resist gear on pld is a little hard to come by, well at least assault breastplate is.
For dd, some of the quick changes you were mentioning, minuet earring is a decent choice, str1, dex1 and acc3 while minuet is up.
yeah, i was thinking about the resentment cape as well. But the more im thinking about it... the gigant/high breath mantle sounds a bit better.
The resentment cape is something like -5% magic damage? So you get nailed with a 1000 damage spell... itll shave off 50 damage.
The gigant adds more Hp than that.
The High breath adds more emnity than that.
Not at the same time, and adding hp does not save dmg over the fight, sure it shaves off 50 dmg, gigant only makes it easier for mages to have a cure lag without you dieing which is not an issue when tiamat is flying, resentment is far superior as it reduces the mp requirements on the mages.
HP ONLY matters if you are in danger of being killed before a mage can get a cure off. At least when he is flying (when the resentment cape is at its peak) that is not the case.
